PETALING JAYA, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- VistaJet, a global business aviation company, is aiming for between 20 per cent and 25 per cent growth in Malaysia this year.

Chief Commercial Officer, Ian Moore said on average, each customer from Malaysia bought between 100 and 200 hours of services per year, amounting to some US$1.3 million to US$1.5 million.

He said in the first three quarters of 2017, VistaJet's international passenger traffic from Malaysia increased 45 per cent, year-on-year, while international passenger arrivals into the country increased 18 per cent.

"The number of VistaJet international flights departing from Malaysia rose 12 per cent year-on-year, while the number of inbound international flights into Malaysia grew 10 per cent," he said in a media briefing today.

Malaysia is the top three market within the Asian region and the private jet luxury brand expects the demand for business jet services in Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia continuing to rise.

Moore said Malaysia was ideally suited to business aviation as multinational companies benefit from the efficiency and convenience of business aviation.

"The Subang airport is one of the few capital city airports in Southeast Asia largely dedicated to business aviation," he added.

The top five destinations departing from Malaysia, he said, were Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Jakarta and Phuket while the top five destinations arriving into Malaysia are Singapore, Hong Kong, Maldives, Phuket and Hanoi.

Since entering Malaysia in 2008, VistaJet had experienced tremendous growth, whereby 22 per cent of its Asian customers were from Malaysia, he said.

VistaJet flies customers anytime, anywhere in the world with 24-48 hours' notice.

With its fleet of 72 aircraft, VistaJet's global infrastructure is valued at more than US$2.5 billion.
