AirAsia Launches Inaugural KL-Davao Flight

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- AirAsia today launched its inaugural Kuala Lumpur (KL) to Davao (the Philippines) flight.

In a statement, the low-cost airline said the new route would operate with four weekly flights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

"A send-off ceremony was held at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 today to celebrate the maiden flight, AK590, at 10.25 am, with a 100 per cent load factor," it said.

AirAsia said the new route signified the fourth direct route from Malaysia to the Philippines after Manila, Cebu and Kalibo.

"We also connect guests to other cities in the Philippines, namely Clark, Catician,Tacloban, Palawan and Tagbilaran," it added.
